I had been chasing an electrical problem with my Mercedes SLK230 for a few days. Chris diagnosed and get it right. Difficult to find an honest mechanic like this. I’ll definitely be returning.

Honest, easy to communicate. This is my new go to VW shop! I called right after visit from my regular mechanic who told me I could not turn off my Volkswagen (2014 Touareg VR6) unless I got it to a Volkswagen Specialist shop, or else I'd need a tow. Andrew at Desi Auto told me to drive on over and explained what was happening and what to expect along with estimate. It was 98 degrees-hot and I had my dog with me and Andrew made everything convenient as possible(including offering me cold drinks). I really appreciated it. I love supporting local business! Must call first to appointment.

Our Mini Cooper Paceman-S transmission stick is on P and hard to move, key will not release from the slot, and dashboard light lit. Dealer claimed liquid got to the module under the center console and got wet, a $1700 repair not covered by dealer, they claim it was my fault. Poor design by Mini, two cup holders are located right on that location how can it prevent accidental liquid getting into? If they think that module is so important not to get it wet, then protect it, or move it so liquid can't touch it. Sam Charged me only $615 to fix this issue and also done extra sealing to prevent future problems. WOW!

You might tell yourself " I'll pay an arm and a leg" taking it to the dealership'. Well-STOP-I just saved over 1640 dollars by bringing my car to Desi Auto. Shaun is Mercedes specialist technician; he is certified and expertly knowledgeable. I received genuine service, one on one attention with the same person (Shaun) working on my Benz for rear shocks replacement and bad burning oil smell below steering wheel issues. He has a true passion for working on MB vehicles. He was even kind enough to look at a previous diagnostic done at dealer. He compared the notes with his vehicle inspection of my Benz. He offered his 2nd opinion and let me know that some of the items on the diagnostic were non-issues and did not pose any driving risk. I appreciated his honesty, rather than quoting me a better price and pushing his services.

I had a worsening ticking noise at 45 miles speed; I fearfully took my Mini Cooper Countryman to a dealer who diagnosed as lifter failure and quote $2,700 to repair. I took my car to DESI for a 2nd opinion. Shawn started looking for the noise. What he found was a cracked brake pad ticking as my slotted brake disk rotated and it was a cheap fix. Repair was done while I was waiting. He is the most knowledgeable mechanic I have ever encountered regarding Mini Coopers. Shawn has encyclopedic knowledge about German cars! And have very high-work ethics. Clearly, this is one of the best shop I’ve ever taken my MINI to. I would recommend Shawn to my Mini friends!

Since they were going to open my Land-Rover LR4 engine, I had them replace a few extra parts, timing chain tensioner, knock sensor, and regular maintenance parts like the fuel filter that is a difficult to get to. Andrew shows me the old parts and how each part was near its end of life, preventing some very costly future repairs.
